Teaching Kids Herbs with Wildcraft & A New Herb Book for Kids

As a homeschooling Mom, I looked everywhere for books or something to introduce herbs to my kids. There just isn't much out there to teach kids about plants and the healing properties they have.

Then I found Wildcraft. If you haven't heard of it, it's a board game where kids take a journey (like Candyland) and stumble through bee stings and all kinds of issues that they have to heal with plants. I snatched that game up so quickly! My kids are teenagers and they still play it!

I think the thing I love the most about it is that there are no losers in this board game. It teaches not only plants, but also a perspective of helping, healing, and sharing. Those are qualities every kid needs to learn and take to heart in this world we live in currently.

Beyond Wildcraft. there has been nothing else to get kids involved in herbs. Until now. I finally finished a digital book (available on Amazon) called Teaching Kids Herbs. It is a journey of learning herbs with all the senses. It helps grow one's awareness in their body and shares a basic recipes for every kind of herbal medicine you can think of. For the older kids, it goes into scientific detail about 15 different herbs and why they work the way they do.

In the first chapter, there is so much to do, that you'll be there awhile, tasting, smelling, and experiencing herbs and plants in a whole new way.

I hope you find the way my Grandmother taught me about plants as much of a treasure as I do.
